Jaicee Kuresa Roden
Head Coach
Jaicee (Kuresa) Roden grew up in Millville, UT and graduated from Mountain Crest High School. While there, she earned All-State recognitions in volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Coach Roden was recruited for all 3 sports, but chose to play volleyball at Utah Valley University (UVU). During her time at UVU, she earned her bachelor's degree in behavioral science. She is currently a certified special education teacher at Ridgeline who works with students with mild/moderate disabilities.
Coach Roden has 4 years of experience as an assistant coach, 10+ years experience as a club head coach, and 8 years experience as a high school head coach. Ridgeline is the 3rd program Jaicee has taken on with Mountain View and Corner Canyon as her previous schools. Jaicee led her team at Mountain View to win the 5A state championship in 2019. Prior to coaching, she had 15 years of experience as a volleyball player.
Jaicee is happily married to Sam Roden, and she loves spending time with him and their family. Together, they live in Providence and have 2 boys and 1 dog. Their oldest, Jay, remains their permanent guardian angel as he passed away at 9 months old in 2016. Boy #2, Makai, will be 2 years old in June 2021, and he is their social butterfly. He also thoroughly enjoys watching "Daddin" (Aladdin), "Maui" (Moana), and "Buzz" (Toy Story). Their dog's name is Manny and between Manny and Makai the Roden home is full of energy and entertainment.
Jaicee is most excited for the opportunity to serve and teach the youth of the community she grew up in. She hopes to continue to advance and develop the game of volleyball at RHS. Go Hawks!

Dayna (Lyle) Brown, was raised in Wellsville, UT and attended Mountain Crest High School. She grew up watching her older sister and cousin play volleyball, and was excited to start playing herself. She started playing club at 11 years old. Dayna continued to play volleyball, basketball, and softball throughout high school. After graduation, she attended Utah State University where she started to pursue a degree in Nursing. There she was distracted by a cute boy, and in 2009, they decided to get married and have babies! She and Braden have been married for 13 years and have 3 daughters- Berkley (10), Laityn (7) and Mckenna (5). After moving several times, to multiple states, their family has settled in Nibley. As a family, they share a love for all sports (but especially volleyball!), board games, movies, puzzles, and spending time with friends and family. Dayna has been part of the Ridgeline Volleyball Program since 2020 and is excited to return for another amazing season!

Bekah Grant
Assistant
After graduating from Skyline High School, Bekah moved to Logan, Utah to attend Utah State University. There, she now studies applied mathematics, and coaches volleyball, the sport she loves.
Before Bekah found volleyball, she competed in competitive soccer for seven years. Until in 9th grade when she decided to commit her sports life full time to volleyball. She played volleyball throughout high school but stops when she enters college at U.S.U.
Bekah found herself missing volleyball so much she decided to take her old coach up on coaching. Coaching made her fall in love with volleyball, even more, she enjoys volleyball not only because of the fun memories, or the friendships she developed, it’s because of the life lessons and personal growth volleyball fostered for her.
Bekah’s first year of coaching she assisted Club V 12s Black team, ranked top 10 in the nation, securing an AAU national champion title in 2021. She also assisted the top Club v 13s team, where they placed 3rd at USAV nationals in 2021. After moving back up to Logan she continued her coaching experience at Mountain Peak in Cache Valley. There, she became the head coach, currently leading a team in national play.
